In conjunction with WorkSafeBC and CSA the New Z94.3 – 2020 compliance list has been approved and passed.

This means as of today new ophthalmic products have been added to the CSA approved compliance list as well as new size dimensions in safety frames and side shields.

The new inclusions include Trivex now been made available in Photochromic and Polarized, The Blue Light Filter having its own designation as an anti-reflection coating. Please see attached BCDO Lens Compliance table.

On the frames, a “Small Headform” size has been introduced for safety frames to better fit the smaller more petite head size running in conjunction with the existing Z94.3 2015 frame size version.

Finally, the criteria for side shields have also been reduced to fall in line with European Standards (EN 168). All current BCDO approved safety frames will continue to be compliant since they exceed the minimum requirement reading size and coverage.
